Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to medical providers, assist with patient interactions, and ensure smooth clinical operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining high standards of medical practice.

Responsibilities

Measure vital signs accurately and document patient histories to support clinical assessments.
Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist providers during procedures such as X-ray imaging or phlebotomy.
Support medical documentation by recording patient encounters, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with medication administration, including injections or other treatments under provider supervision.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake processes, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic flow.
Manage the doctors' rounding list and schedule

Requirements

Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role with exposure to specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine.
Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and pharmacology principles.
Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for accurate documentation and management of patient data.
Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle diverse populations including geriatrics in the clinic setting.
