Medication Delivery Technician

Part-Time | Paid Training and Certification Provided

Are you dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working independently? Do you enjoy being out in the community, connecting with people, and knowing your work makes a meaningful difference?

Dacotah Foundation is seeking positive and motivated team members to join our Medication Delivery Program. This unique part-time position combines community-based medication support and meaningful interaction with individuals living with mental illness or substance use disorders.

No medication certification is required to apply—we provide all necessary training and pay you for your training time!

What You’ll Do

Most shifts involve traveling along an assigned route throughout the Fargo and West Fargo community using an agency-provided vehicle. You will visit clients in their homes or at designated program locations to:

Deliver prescribed psychiatric medications
Observe and supervise clients as they self-administer their medications
Build positive, professional relationships and therapeutic rapport with clients
Observe and report changes in psychiatric symptoms, medication side effects, or other client concerns
Communicate important information to the appropriate team members
Complete accurate and thorough documentation in client records
Help clients feel respected, supported, and successful in their recovery

Some shifts may also include providing medication support within Dacotah Foundation facilities located throughout the Fargo and West Fargo area.

Available shift times include:

Morning shifts: 7:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
Evening shifts: 7:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

A minimum of every other weekend availability is required for all staff.

Is dependable, organized, and able to work independently
Has strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
Is comfortable driving throughout Fargo and West Fargo
Can safely drive during normal North Dakota seasonal weather conditions
Communicates clearly and professionally
Enjoys working with people from a variety of backgrounds
Has a genuine desire to learn more about behavioral health, mental illness, substance use disorders, and recovery
Can remain calm, observant, and supportive when unexpected situations arise
Understands the importance of confidentiality, boundaries, and accurate documentation

Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or caregiving is helpful, but it is not required. We are happy to train someone who brings the right attitude, reliability, compassion, and willingness to learn.

Driving Requirements

This position requires driving an agency-provided vehicle for work-related duties.

Applicants must:

Possess a valid driver’s license
Meet agency automobile insurance requirements
Pass a driving records check
Have a safe driving history without major violations or disqualifying accidents
Be comfortable navigating the Fargo and West Fargo area

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Ability to pass a driving records check
Reliable attendance and availability for assigned shifts
Minimum availability of every other weekend
