Full Job Description

MRI Technologist – Travel Assignment

Location: Fridley, MN
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Mid Shift | Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Schedule: 5×8-hour shifts
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
Trauma Level: Level IV
Charting: Epic

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Fridley, Minnesota. The MRI Technologist will perform MRI examinations in inpatient, outpatient, Emergency Department, and adult ICU settings while maintaining high standards of patient care, imaging quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols and safety standards.
Manage an average daily caseload of approximately 12 patients per technologist.
Operate a Siemens Avanto 1.5T MRI scanner.
Perform IV starts and administer contrast when required and within scope.
Provide safe and effective patient positioning and monitoring throughout MRI procedures.
Work with patients across inpatient, outpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings.
Accurately document examinations and patient information in Epic/Excellian.
Maintain MRI safety protocols and follow department policies.
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Float between affiliated campuses, including Mercy Coon Rapids and Mercy Unity, as department needs require.
Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience.
ARRT-R certification required.
BLS certification required.
Experience in:
Outpatient setting
Inpatient setting
Emergency Department
Community hospital
Adult ICU
IV start experience required.
Experience with Siemens Avanto 1.5T required.
Epic/Excellian experience required.
First-time travelers are not accepted.
Minnesota license in hand is preferred. If not currently licensed, the traveler must apply for a Minnesota license through the designated licensing process after accepting an offer.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per week
