Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and recipe development to create innovative dishes that reflect our culinary vision.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and food safety regulations.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food handling practices, and safety protocols.
Coordinate banquet services and special events, ensuring timely execution of all catering orders.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong culinary skills with experience in fine dining and catering settings.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and shift management.
Proficient in inventory management and control processes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen and service staff.
