Full Job Description

Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as a DSW/Caregiver, where your compassionate nature and hands-on skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care. In this vital role, you will provide assistance with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for clients in their home community care settings. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a warm, supportive atmosphere that fosters dignity and well-being for those in your care.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
Support residents with medication reminders following prescribed guidelines and safety protocols
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional comfort
Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for clients with special dietary needs
Maintain cleanliness of client homes rooms and common areas to uphold hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations

Qualifications

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's disease, memory care, and behavioral management strategies
Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required or obtainable upon hiring, company will pay for CPR if needed
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
Physical ability to perform a hoyer lift, training will be provided as needed
