Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Aluminum Storefront Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality aluminum storefront systems, ensuring precise measurements, accurate assembly, and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, aesthetically appealing storefronts that meet client specifications and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication equipment and collaborate with skilled professionals committed to excellence.

Duties

Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate aluminum storefront components.
Measure and mark metal materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and assembly.
Operate power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal and aluminum materials.
Weld using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Assemble fabricated parts utilizing hand tools, rigging equipment, and mechanical fasteners to construct storefront frames and assemblies.
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure fabrication aligns with design specifications while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to construction site practices, welding procedures, and equipment operation.

Skills

Extensive construction site experience with metal fabrication projects.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings for accurate fabrication.
Skilled in measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise work.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques including plasma cutting, bending with press brakes, and welding methods such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
Mechanical knowledge of metal materials used in storefront systems along with understanding of ASME & AWS standards.
Ability to operate power tools safely including grinders, drills, saws, and rigging equipment like forklifts for material handling.
Experience interpreting technical schematics related to ductwork, piping threading, or mechanical assemblies.
Familiarity with safety protocols specific to fabrication shops and construction environments.
Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with shop math for accurate fabrication processes.
