Full Job Description

Elmwood Assisted Living and Memory Care of Fremont is currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician for this full time, department leader position. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance operations within our Assisted Living facility. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with extensive knowledge in industrial maintenance, facilities management, and project management. The ideal candidate will possess strong management, along with technical expertise in electrical, mechanical repair. As a key member of our leadership team, the Maintenance Technician will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all equipment and infrastructure to support continuous use. This position involves a rotation of on-call schedule for emergencies, snow removal of sidewalks/salting, etc to ensure the best safety is always maintained on campus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Manage maintenance budgets, resources, and spare parts inventory
Ensure compliance with safety standards related to HVAC systems, and electrical safety protocols.
Collaborate with production departments to minimize downtime and optimize equipment processes.
Maintain documentation for all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety procedures.
Schedules contractors for snow removal as needed and is responsible for preventative maintenance.
Responsible for fire, tornado, and evacuation drills per regulations.
Responsible for maintenance logs, assisting surveyors and agencies during their building inspections including ODH surveys and HUD surveys.
Assures compliance with all aspects of the maintenance department.
Prioritizes maintenance requests and assures proper completion of requests.
Performs minor repairs of equipment.
Follow Occupational Safety and Health Association rules. (OSHA)
The Maintenance Technician position is a hands-on position that requires knowledge of plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, mechanical and fire equipment

Skills

Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance leadership roles.
Extensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and mechanical components.
Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience
Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English; capable of coordinating across departments.
ARC flash training is helpful
HOT works training experience is helpful

Must possess a high school diploma

Applicant must be willing to work a flexible work schedule and lift 100lbs.
