,Job Summary

We are located on a military base located in Clay County, Starke Florida

We are looking for Full-Time and Part-Time Employees.

Looking for an EXPERIENCED Short Order Cook OR an individual willing to learn how to work in a very fast-paced restaurant. Short-order cooking is an integral part of the job responsibilities. The Applicant must also have the desire to learn bulk meal prep and other back of the house responsibilities. The Applicant will also be required to assist in all areas of the restaurant, from lobby duties, cashier, dishwashing, receiving freight, and inventory assistance. We require all our cooks/employees to be trained on all aspects of the restaurant, to gain knowledge of the restaurant's full operations.

This position is on a military facility located in Clay County, FL and the City of Starke FL. The applicant will be required to meet criteria related to military installation guidelines. This will be explained in a formal interview.

Duties

Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and standards
Support cooking processes by preparing ingredients and maintaining station cleanliness
Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines
Aid in meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours
Maintain organized storage of ingredients and supplies, rotating stock as needed
Support catering events by preparing and serving food in accordance with safety standards
Assist with dishwashing, cleaning kitchen surfaces, and ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use

Experience

Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
Kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling practices is essential
Skills in knife handling, meal preparation, and food industry standards are beneficial
Experience in catering or serving can enhance your ability to support diverse dining needs
A background in culinary activities or restaurant work will help you excel in this energetic role
