Full Job Description

The Kitchen Manager is entrusted with the essential role of serving the students at Sacred Heart Catholic School by providing nutritious and nourishing meals in a welcoming, professional, and courteous manner. The Kitchen Manager oversees the food service program at Sacred Heart Catholic School.

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines as outlined by school, state, and federal policy.
Monitor and oversee all vendor relationships and outreach to new and efficient vendors.
Clearly and consistently enforce strict food safety protocols for all kitchen staff at all times.
Oversee and/or delegate to other staff specific menu adjustments for students with medically documented allergies or alternative profiles.
Ensure all staff members adhrere to strict personal hygiene, clothing, and food handling regulations.
Oversee and deliver ongoing coaching regarding kitchen equipment saftey, recipe execution, and proper portion control.
Oversee and/or delegate to kitchen staff submitting work orders or repair requests to Business Manager.
Provide kitchen staff evalutions and supervision in communication with the principal.
Create and direct schedules and menu tasks for kitchen staff.
Resolve any staff challenges in a virtuous and calm manner.
Respond promptly to all school communication via email or print.
Prepare all food service reports, production reports, meal counts, expense reports, lunch applications and other paperwork.
Work collaboratively with state and local officials to provide the best food service possible.
Oversee the cleaning and organization of the kitchen.
Oversee food preparation and cooking.
Responsible for menu planning and ordering of groceries and supplies.
Submit monthly claims.
Complete annual compliance report.
Assist with serving food as needed.
Work with families and faculty to ensure satisfaction in areas of quality, services, and problem resolution.
Attend required school meetings and in-services as communicated by the Principal.
Other dutes as assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications

Food Handlers Certification
Kitchen Managers Certification
Strong commitment to the mission of Catholic education
Practicing Catholic preferred
Must pass a background check
Complete Virtus Training
Minimum high school diploma and professional experience matched to the requirements listed above.

Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
