Real Estate Accountant Full-Time, In-Office · Galveston, TX · $55,000 – $75,000

ABOUT US

Tohme Capital is a real estate investment, development, and construction company headquartered in Galveston, Texas. We own and operate 100+ rental units and are actively building new multifamily projects — with a growing pipeline that's just getting started.

We're not a big corporate shop. We're a lean, fast-moving team that makes real decisions quickly — and we need the financial clarity to back them up.

THE ROLE

We're hiring a Real Estate Accountant to own our accounting operation across a multi-entity structure. This isn't a "keep the seat warm" role. You'll have direct access to ownership, real responsibility from day one, and the chance to build the systems that will carry this company through its next phase of growth.

If you're the kind of accountant who gets frustrated when the books aren't decision-ready — and you'd rather build something than maintain someone else's patchwork — this is your seat.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Day-to-Day Accounting

Books across multiple LLCs — clean, current, and accurate
Daily transaction review and categorization
Monthly reconciliations with real-time cash positions
Intercompany accounting and Due To / Due From tracking
Payroll coordination

Real Estate & Construction

Expense classification: CapEx vs. repairs vs. maintenance
Job cost tracking and construction budget oversight
Contractor payments, W-9s, and 1099 prep
Support on acquisitions, dispositions, and entity accounting

Reporting & Compliance

Year-end CPA coordination and tax prep support
Financial reports that leadership can actually use
Systems and controls that scale as we grow

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

✓ Books are current, accurate, and organized

✓ Reconciliations done on time, no loose ends

✓ Intercompany balances clean and supported

✓ Ownership has the financial picture they need to move fast

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

5+ years of accounting experience in real estate, construction, or public accounting serving real estate clients
Advanced QuickBooks Online proficiency
Someone who takes ownership, flags problems early, and builds toward solutions

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
