About Project LeanNation
Project LeanNation helps people stay consistent with their nutrition and wellness goals through chef-prepared meals, personalized nutrition support, accountability, and community.
As we prepare to open our Downtown Raleigh location at Seaboard Station, we are building a team that will help introduce Project LeanNation to the community, develop local partnerships, support Founding Member growth, and create meaningful relationships with prospective members.
What This Role Is Really About
We are looking for a strong people person who is comfortable getting out into the community, starting conversations, building relationships, and helping people understand how Project LeanNation can support their health and nutrition goals.
You will represent Project LeanNation at local businesses, fitness studios, wellness events, apartment communities, run clubs, community organizations, and other partnership opportunities throughout Raleigh.
This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, dependable, comfortable talking with new people, and motivated by helping build something from the ground up.
Pre-Launch Focus: Community Outreach & Member Growth
- Represent Project LeanNation at local events, pop-ups, fitness studios, run clubs, apartment communities, businesses, and wellness partnerships.
- Build relationships with prospective members, local businesses, fitness professionals, and community partners.
- Introduce Project LeanNation and explain our nutrition, wellness, and membership offerings in a clear and approachable way.
- Support Founding Member recruitment and pre-launch membership growth.
- Generate prospective-member leads through events, community outreach, partnerships, and local engagement.
- Help identify new businesses, organizations, events, and communities where Project LeanNation should have a presence.
- Conduct local outreach, including scheduled visits and occasional drop-ins with prospective partners.
- Help tailor outreach based on the audience, organization, or community being approached.
- Participate in community activations, sampling events, wellness events, and promotional opportunities.
- Bring new ideas for reaching potential members and growing local awareness.
Lead Follow-Up & Relationship Building
- Collect prospective-member information at events and community activations.
- Enter leads into the appropriate CRM/storefront system.
- Complete timely phone, text, or other follow-up with prospective members.
- Maintain organized records of outreach activity, conversations, and follow-up needs.
- Help move prospective members from initial awareness to deeper engagement with Project LeanNation.
- Build authentic relationships rather than relying only on transactional sales conversations.
- Follow established lead-management processes and ensure opportunities do not fall through the cracks.
Member & Wellness Education
- Create a welcoming, supportive experience for prospective and current members.
- Explain Project LeanNation services, membership options, meals, nutrition support, and wellness philosophy.
- Help people understand how Project LeanNation may fit into their lifestyle, schedule, activity level, and goals.
- Support wellness education conversations while knowing when to refer questions to appropriate nutrition professionals or leadership.
- Learn Project LeanNation’s products, services, nutrition philosophy, and member experience through company-provided training.
Events & Partnerships
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, literature, samples, coolers, and basic display materials.
- Support events with fitness studios, businesses, apartment communities, schools, wellness providers, run clubs, and community organizations.
- Help develop ideas to increase participation and engagement at community events.
- Assist with post-event follow-up and evaluation.
- Help strengthen existing partnerships while identifying new opportunities.
Social & Brand Support
- Capture occasional behind-the-scenes footage, Stories, Reels, or lifestyle-oriented content during events and community activities.
- Be comfortable appearing on camera when appropriate.
- Help support an authentic, community-driven social presence.
- Assist with basic social or promotional content when needed.
After Opening: Member Experience & In-Store Support
As the Downtown Raleigh location opens, the role will expand to include member education and basic in-store responsibilities.
These may include:
- Welcoming and engaging members in the store.
- Supporting member onboarding.
- Assisting with InBody assessments after appropriate training.
- Helping members understand basic assessment results and wellness goals.
- Supporting member follow-up and recurring assessments.
- Processing customer transactions.
- Answering phone inquiries professionally.
- Helping maintain an organized and welcoming store environment.
- Supporting inventory organization and product restocking.
- Assisting with basic opening and closing responsibilities.
- Supporting member pickup and fulfillment processes.
Community outreach, partnerships, events, and member recruitment will remain part of the role after opening.

Formal nutrition experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.

- Social media or content creation
- Experience promoting a team, organization, business, club, or community initiative
Schedule, Travel & Physical Requirements
- Part-time position.
- Schedule may vary during pre-launch based on events and outreach opportunities.
- Some evening and weekend availability may be required.
- Must be comfortable traveling locally throughout the Downtown Raleigh area for events, meetings, and community outreach.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must be comfortable transporting and setting up basic event materials such as a folding table, cooler, literature, samples, and display materials.
- Must be comfortable working independently at some events after training.
- Larger event equipment will be supported by additional team members as needed.
