Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Job Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. The main lines are Spray Foam Insulation and Firewall products.This pivotal role involves accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for construction estimating, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to cost control and pricing strategies. Join us to contribute to exciting projects and help drive our company's growth through precise and competitive bidding. The job is based and in Orlando and must be located there. Immediate opening due to retirement and workload.

Duties

Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
Collaborate with project management teams to review project scopes, identify potential risks, and establish accurate cost projections.
Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights that influence cost estimates and project planning. Able to multitask and work in high energy envoirnment. May require some out of town travel to construction sites.
Negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards.
Prepare detailed bid proposals, including labor, materials, equipment costs, and profit margins.
Monitor ongoing projects for cost control adherence and update estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain organized records of all estimating activities, contracts, and related documentation for transparency and future reference.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of Foam Insulation management processes.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar platforms.
Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while fostering positive relationships with vendors.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in cost analysis and budgeting.
Hands-on construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand field conditions impacting estimates.
Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and professionally across teams.
Knowledge of cost control strategies, pricing techniques, and contract administration is essential.
