Full Job Description

About the Role:

The Food and Beverage Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations within the establishment, ensuring exceptional service quality and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for managing the entire food and beverage team, including collaboration with the Executive Chef, to deliver a superior dining experience that aligns with the brand’s standards. The manager will strategically control food and labor costs while maintaining high standards off customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Food and Beverage Manager drives profitability and guest satisfaction through effective leadership, operational excellence, and innovative service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management within the hospitality industry.
Proven experience managing food costs, labor costs, and operational budgets effectively.
Strong knowledge of food production processes and food safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced country club environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in country club/golf course/homeowner association environment.
Certification in hospitality or food safety management (e.g., ServSafe)
Familiarity with country club/golf course/homeowner association bar and grill dining service standards and 55 and older hospitality environments.
Proficiency with hospitality management software (Jonas) and inventory control systems.
Advanced leadership training or certifications.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily food and beverage operations ensuring consistent quality and guest satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to coordinate food production and menu planning that meets customer expectations and cost targets.
Manage and control food and labor costs by monitoring inventory, scheduling staff efficiently, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Lead recruitment, training, and development of the food and beverage team to maintain high performance and adherence to hospitality management standards.
Plan and execute staff onboarding, operational setup, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

The Food and Beverage Manager utilizes skills to ensure seamless guest experiences. Expertise in controlling food and labor costs is critical for maintaining profitability while delivering high-quality service. Collaboration with the Executive Chef requires strong communication and organizational skills to align food production with operational goals.
