Full Job Description

Busy multi-specialty medical clinic seeking bilingual English/Spanish speaking medical receptionist with previous medical front office experience to be part of our well established healthcare team. This is being offered as a FT (4-5 days/week) position with occasional Saturday mornings required. Salary is dependent on experience.

Summary:

The ideal medical front office candidate will have at least 3 years previous experience in a busy medical clinic setting with a strong background in insurance verification and insurance pre-authorizations in an outpatient medical clinic setting.

Job Responsibilities:

Answer phones
Greet patients
Patient outreach
Schedule and confirming appointments
Verify patient insurances
Obtain insurance pre-authorizations for medical procedures
Create/submit claims
Bill secondary insurances
Collect patient copays, coinsurances, deductibles and balances.
Reconcile payments at the end of the day
Record keeping and data input

Job Requirements:

Previous medical/patient centered customer service role
Professional interpersonal and communication skills
Strong medical insurance verification and pre-authorization experience
Previous experience creating and submitting medical claims
Ability to bill and post secondary claims
Experience with collections on accounts receivable & patient balances
Previous appointment scheduling and confirmation experience
Ability to manage multiple schedules and phone lines
Computer and database fluency
Adaptability to computer & EHR/EMR systems and insurance portals
Strong organizational skills
Highly self-motivated
Fluency in English and Spanish
Team player mentality
Desire to learn new skills
Excellent work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
