Social Media & Marketing Administrative Assistant

Full-Time | Hourly | 40 Hours per Week | In-Person | Benefits Available

$24.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience + benefits

Position Overview

Automated Marketing Group is looking for a creative, organized, and proactive Social Media & Marketing Administrative Assistant to join our marketing team. This role will support the creation, management, and analysis of digital marketing for multiple client accounts, while also assisting with client projects, events, and administrative needs.

A majority of our clients are independent auto repair shops, so previous experience or familiarity with the automotive industry is a big plus but not required. You don't need to be a car expert or have professional automotive experience, but even a beginner-level understanding of cars, auto repair, or how vehicles work is highly valued. Maybe you've worked around cars, grew up around them, or simply have an interest in the automotive world. Experience working with blue-collar, trade, or service-based businesses is also a plus.

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in digital marketing, an eye for design, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to continue learning and growing their skills.

This position will report to the Marketing Director and Office Administrator and work closely with the rest of the AMG/Shop4D team.

Responsibilities

Social Media & Digital Marketing

Create, schedule, and publish social media content for multiple client accounts
Create graphics and marketing materials using Canva and Adobe programs
Assist with short-form video and other digital content
Create and manage Meta/Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns
Assist with managing and updating Google Business Profiles
Monitor social accounts, campaigns, comments, messages, and approvals

Marketing & Client Support

Assist with end-of-month reporting and marketing assessments
Gather and organize social media, advertising, and campaign performance data
Communicate with clients regarding content, approvals, promotions, and other marketing needs
Keep track of client requests, deadlines, and upcoming projects
Assist with email campaigns, print materials, website updates, research, recruiting, and other marketing projects

Event & Administrative Support

Assist with planning and preparing for company, client, and industry events
Help coordinate event materials, signage, promotional items, vendors, and supplies
Provide event setup and day-of support when needed
Help organize marketing calendars, files, deadlines, and client information
Assist with incoming calls, emails, mail, packages, and other general office needs
Provide administrative support to the Marketing Director and Office Administrator

Required Skills & Experience

Candidates must have experience with:

Meta Ads Manager
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Canva
Creating and managing content for business social media accounts

Additional Skills & Experience We'd Love to See

The following aren't required, but would be a plus:

Familiarity with cars, auto repair, automotive terminology, or how vehicles work is a bonus but not required
Previous experience working in or around the automotive industry
Experience working with blue-collar, trade, or service-based businesses
Social media analytics and reporting
Google Analytics
Google Business Profiles
SEO and keyword research
Social media scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite or Buffer
Basic video editing and short-form video creation
Email marketing and eblast platforms
An interest in developing copywriting skills for social media, email marketing, advertising, and other marketing content
Experience assisting with events, trade shows, or event preparation
