Help Shape Great Futures

United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County (UBGC) is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Finance to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who wants to use their expertise to make a meaningful impact in the lives of local youth and families.

About the role

As the organization's senior-most finance leader, the Director of Finance will work closely with the CEO, leadership team, Board of Directors, and Finance Committee to ensure the financial health, compliance, and long-term sustainability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, audits, and internal controls.
Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and strategic guidance to executive leadership and the Board.
Oversee annual budgeting, monthly financial reporting, and financial forecasting.
Manage grant budgeting, compliance, and financial reporting.
Serve as the primary liaison to auditors, financial institutions, and the Finance/Audit Committee.
Supervise and develop finance staff while promoting accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting and financial management experience.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Proven leadership and staff supervision experience.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Nonprofit accounting and financial management experience strongly preferred.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
