Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Coordinator - Buyer to join our team. This is a hands-on position that requires a self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with receiving supplies and equipment deliveries

- Monitor and notify team members when supplies are low or expiring

- Place orders for supplies per contracted deadlines, ensuring attention to detail of contracted pricing

- Maintain set par levels and organize supplies efficiently

- Maintain a detailed supply ordering system

- Monitor and assist with backorders, replacement products, and correct order/shipping errors

- Assist with maintaining equipment in safe, working order according to contracts and policies

- Collaborate positively and professionally with third-party payers, vendors, patients, physician offices, and others to uphold a positive image of the center

- Ensure all appropriate documentation is entered into the computer system

- Assist with managing linen distribution and ordering

- Assist with monitoring and ordering medical gases

- Participate with monthly cleaning lists and physical inventory counts

- Handle urgent specimen delivery and courier contact as needed for late specimen pick-ups

- Participate in Quality Improvement Program activities, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiencies

- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Previous experience in healthcare, surgical technology preferred, and healthcare supply chain management required.

- Knowledge of surgical procedures, surgical equipment, and inventory management

- Organized, self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency

- Ability to work independently and prioritize work to meet deadlines

- Ability to operate a computer and various software packages

- Ability to operate equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, and other common office equipment

- 1-3 years of related work experience

Physical Demands:

- Frequent listening, talking, bending, and walking

- Ability to lift instrumentation and equipment weighing up to 50lbs

- Standing for close to 100% of the workday

- Finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate equipment

-This is a hands-on position
