Full Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your responsibilities will include managing appointments, handling client inquiries, and ensuring that both pets and their owners feel welcomed and cared for during their visits.

Duties

Greet clients and their pets warmly as they arrive at the clinic.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring an efficient flow of patients throughout the day.
Manage phone calls on multiple lines, providing information about services, answering questions, and addressing client concerns.
Manage multiple email accounts regarding client communications, record requests, and online pharmacy fill requests.
Fill medications, as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on proper pet care practices, and explain common procedures and protocols, as needed.

Skills

Proficiency in veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
Confident with technology and able to learn new medical management programs.
Experience in animal care settings is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care to pets and their owners.
