Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety standards, and customer satisfaction. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing food preparation, supervising staff, controlling inventory, and maintaining a smooth workflow across all kitchen functions. Your leadership will drive the success of our restaurant by fostering a positive team culture and upholding the highest hospitality standards.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to build a motivated and skilled culinary team.
Supervise food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Control inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food costs using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize profitability.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling procedures and POS system operations during shift changes.
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, interview potential team members, and implement staff training programs to enhance team skills.

Skills

Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or fine dining settings.
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking.
Strong background in inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures.
Proven leadership skills in supervising teams, managing shifts, and training staff effectively.
Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, team management, and customer service interactions.
Ability to analyze profit and loss statements while managing budgets and controlling costs efficiently.
Experience with catering, banquet service, or bar operations is a plus; hospitality management background highly valued.
