Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper to support our small business with ongoing financial tasks. This is a part-time position ideal for an experienced professional who values flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records
Record transactions and reconcile bank/credit card accounts
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare monthly financial reports
Assist with payroll and tax preparation (as needed)
Work with QuickBooks (or other software)
Handle and reconcile physical cash from multiple bar location
Count, verify, and balance daily tills
Perform on-site cash counts and audits
Travel between bar locations as needed for cash collection and reconcilation
Investigate and resolve cash variances and discrepancies
Prepare bank deposits from physical cash
Maintain secure cash-handling procedures

Requirements:

2+ years of bookkeeping experience
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Professional communication skills

Preferred (but not required):

Experience with small businesses

Accounting or bookkeeping certification

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
