Full Job Description

As the Quality, Regulatory & Safety Specialist, you will be a critical leader in ensuring our medical devices meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will maintain, update, and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), perform regulatory submissions, and drive a culture of quality and safety across our Vancouver manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management: Maintain and enhance the QMS in accordance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 (QMSR).
Medical Device Regulatory Compliance: Lead regulatory activities including U.S. FDA registrations, EU MDR registrations, device listings, and routine reporting.
Auditing & Inspections: Execute internal audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external inspections (FDA, ISO, UL, Customer, State).
Risk Management and Corrective Actions: Manage the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) process, performing root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement, reduce risk and provide feedback throughout the organization.
Safety & Health: Lead occupational health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with state OSHA standards.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Medical Device industry is required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Health Sciences, Business or a related technical field.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of ISO 13485, FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR/QMSR), and ISO 14971.
Critical Thinking Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable company processes.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, and management.
Technical Skills: Strong capability to compose concise documentation and ability to develop, organize, and maintain records and data logs
