Tool Room Machinist Job Details:
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $27.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience

Tool Room Machinist Job Description:

Fabricate, repair, and maintain precision tooling, fixtures, jigs, and components used throughout the manufacturing process
Set up and operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, EDM equipment, and other machining equipment to produce high-precision parts
Program CNC machines using CAM software and write, modify, or optimize CNC programs
Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and CAD models
Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment, to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met
Set up and maintain tooling, fixtures, and jigs for manufacturing operations
Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment and troubleshoot CNC programming and mechanical issues
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other shop tools safely and effectively
Assist with the assembly of machined components as needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling, machining, and manufacturing processes
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures

Tool Room Machinist Job Requirements:

Previous experience as a Tool Room Machinist, CNC Machinist, or in a similar precision machining role
Proficiency in CNC programming using Fanuc controls or similar systems
Strong knowledge of GD&T principles, blueprint reading, and mechanical drawings
Hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes
Experience with EDM equipment strongly preferred
Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and CAM programming
Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
Experience with tooling setup, fixtures, jigs, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes preferred
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is a plus
Strong math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
