Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for processing payroll, paying vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy.

This role is best suited for candidates who are seeking an opportunity for professional growth in a small and collaborative environment, while making a meaningful impact to the financial infrastructure of the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices, payments, and supplier reconciliations.
Administer company payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Review and process employee expense reimbursement requests.
Perform monthly account reconciliations.
Support the month-end and year-end closing process.
Assist with annual audits by preparing requested documentation and schedules.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
Participate in special accounting and financial projects assigned by management.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

1-2 years of accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Experience using accounting software or ERP systems (QuickBooks a plus).

Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
