Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)

Location: Northbrook, IL (In-Person)

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

At Marissa Bennett Consulting, speech therapy is an integral part of our interdisciplinary care model. Our Speech-Language Pathologists work alongside BCBAs, OTs, developmental therapists, educators, and a collaborative leadership team to provide individualized, evidence-based care that supports the whole child.

We're looking for an experienced pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys thinking critically, values evidence-based practice, and wants the autonomy to make sound clinical decisions while being part of a supportive team.

Whether your passion is childhood apraxia of speech, AAC, feeding or language development, you'll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise while helping shape a growing speech program.

Our caseload includes a mix of daytime and after-school clients, providing greater flexibility than many traditional outpatient pediatric settings.

What You'll Do

Complete comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, communication, AAC, and feeding skills.
Develop individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practice and each child's unique strengths.
Provide engaging, functional intervention for: Articulation and phonological disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Receptive and expressive language and gestalt language processing, Social communication, AAC assessment and intervention, Pediatric feeding disorders
Partner closely with families through education, coaching, and collaborative goal setting.
Collaborate regularly with BCBAs, leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, whole-child care.
Maintain timely documentation while upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.

Qualifications

Required:

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility by start date)
Experience evaluating and treating pediatric speech and language disorders
Strong clinical reasoning, organization, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with families and interdisciplinary team members

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $65,000–$73,000 annually (based on experience)

Schedule

Summer Hours

Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM–3:30 PM

School Year Hours

Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–6:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM–3:30 PM

Additional work outside scheduled hours is not typically expected.

Our Clinical Philosophy

We don't believe every child fits into the same treatment model.

Session frequency, duration, and intervention approach are individualized based on medical necessity, each child's learning profile, and family goals. Typical treatment sessions range from 30–60 minutes, with 45 minutes being the most common.

We celebrate neurodiversity and believe meaningful therapy begins by meeting each child where they are.
