Job Summary

Looking for a better pharmacy environment? Join our locally owned independent community pharmacy where patient care comes first — not corporate metrics.

We are seeking a friendly, motivated pharmacist to join our growing team in a part-time position with consistent weekday coverage. This role offers primarily weekday hours, occasional rotating Saturdays, and the opportunity for long-term growth in a supportive, relationship-focused community pharmacy setting.

We welcome both experienced pharmacists and new graduates who are looking for a supportive environment to learn, grow, and build confidence in community pharmacy.

For the right candidate, there may be future opportunity for expanded hours and/or a Pharmacist-in-Charge role.

Responsibilities

Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately
Counsel patients on medications and health concerns
Administer immunizations, preferred but not required
Perform medication therapy management services and patient follow-up
Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and staff
Communicate professionally with prescribers and patients
Help maintain a positive, customer-focused pharmacy environment
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
Active Louisiana pharmacist license in good standing
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring standing for extended periods and frequent interaction with patients and healthcare professionals

Preferred Qualifications

Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred, but not required
Immunization certification preferred, or willingness to become certified
Experience or familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy software is a plus
Interest in long-term growth within an independent community pharmacy
New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply

Schedule

Approximately 10–20 hours per week
1–2 weekdays per week
Tuesday availability strongly preferred
Primarily weekday coverage
Occasional rotating Saturdays
Stable, predictable scheduling
Additional hours may become available based on pharmacy needs and candidate availability

Pay

Competitive hourly pay based on experience, availability, certifications, and overall fit for the role.
