Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk specializing in Customer Service to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering and managing data within various databases and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, ensuring seamless information flow across departments. Your excellent organizational skills and technical proficiency will support efficient data collection, entry, and analysis, all while providing exceptional customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in data management, office software, and customer interaction within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Enter and update data accurately into databases, spreadsheets, and ERP systems using high-speed typing skills such as 10-key data entry and word processing.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling customer records and internal data with integrity.
Utilize Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, to create spreadsheets, perform data analysis with pivot tables, and generate reports that support business operations.
Support order entry processes by verifying details and ensuring timely processing of customer requests.
Collect, organize, and review data to ensure completeness and accuracy; identify discrepancies or errors for correction.
Assist customer service teams by retrieving information quickly and responding to inquiries professionally.
Demonstrate technical proficiency with database systems, productivity software, and office equipment to streamline workflows.

Requirements

Proven experience in data entry within office environments or similar roles involving extensive use of spreadsheets and database systems.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—particularly Excel for data analysis—and familiarity with ERP systems.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly with a high level of integrity.
Basic math skills for verifying numerical data accuracy during entry processes.
Demonstrated typing speed of at least 10 keys per second to ensure productivity standards are met.
Prior experience in customer service or client-facing roles is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and clear communication are essential.
