Jersey Mike's Subs is looking for dynamic, outgoing, engaged individuals who are looking to better both themselves and those around them. As a fast growing franchisee group we are looking for a General Manager.

The General Manager maintains the overall responsibility of directing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, which include but are not limited to: 100% customer satisfaction, staff training, product preparation, following state and company sanitation guidelines, scheduling equipment maintenance and repairs, inventory management, staffing through recruiting and retention, and the financial accountability of the restaurant. As the General Manager, you will be expected to embrace the proven business model and lead your team to success.

At Jersey Mike’s we lead by example. The General Manager must be proficient in every position in the restaurant and is expected to work on the line alongside their team. Specific managerial duties may be delegated to other individuals as appropriate, but ultimately the responsibility of the restaurant rests with the General Manager.

Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:

Effectively manage the restaurant within the policies and guidelines of the company, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction at all times.
Controls day-to-day operations through scheduling labor, ordering food and supplies, and developing the restaurant team.
Ensures compliance with local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are strictly followed.
Maintain a clean restaurant and ensure that all health department sanitation guidelines for proper food preparation and handling are strictly followed.
Analyze historical data and trends to effectively project staffing and daily prep needs.
Maintains appropriate staffing through recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members.
Conduct performance reviews and effectively coach your team through comprehensive training, motivation, performance reviews, and disciplinary action when necessary.
Ability to hire and terminate when necessary.
Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the business to achieve food cost % and labor % goals.
Ensure that facility and equipment preventative maintenance is completed as scheduled.
Daily cash reconciliation and banking.
Ensures food quality and fast friendly service result in 100% customer satisfaction.
Provide input on local marketing initiatives.

Requirements & Necessary Skills:

Restaurant or Retail Management Experience (2+ years) including a comprehensive understanding of achieving goals of food and labor %’s. (Profit & Loss analysis)
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Current ServSafe® Manager Certification or willingness & ability to pass the provided course.
Trustworthy, honest, acts with integrity, and a passion for customer satisfaction.
Able and willing to work flexible hours, including opening & closing shifts and weekends
Good communication skills, and strong interpersonal & conflict resolution skills.
Basic business math and accounting skills.
Basic personal computer literacy.
