Full Job Description

Summary:

The Bookkeeper supports the financial operations of various Rosen Hotels & Resorts subsidiaries, non-profits, and Rosen Family Personal by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring timely reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in QuickBooks. The ideal candidate is dependable, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records for assigned Rosen subsidiaries, non-profits, and Rosen Family Personal.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, investment accounts, and vendor statements, resolving discrepancies as needed.
Prepare, review, and post journal entries and general ledger transactions with appropriate supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Generate and analyze financial statements, management reports, and budget-to-actual reporting for leadership review.
Monitor and track expenses, invoices, and payments.
Maintain comprehensive digital and physical financial records in compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements.
Serve as a financial liaison to vendors, internal departments, nonprofit partners, and subsidiary leadership regarding accounting inquiries and payment matters.
Support audits by providing documentation and reports as needed.
Assisting with 1099 tax filings, quarterly reports, and providing organized records for accountants during tax season.
Track charitable contributions and support donor acknowledgment processes to maintain accurate records and tax compliance.
Assisting with recording donations and ensuring appropriate donor acknowledgement for tax purposes.
All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop required, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience preparing financial statements and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
Experience in hospitality, nonprofit, family office, private wealth, multi-entity, or similar complex accounting environments strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Rosen Hotels & Resorts systems or similar accounting platforms.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
QuickBooks Desktop Certification, Certified Bookkeeper (CB), or other accounting-related certifications are a plus.
