Full Job Description

Description: Join our team here at ABC Childcare Centers, where we provide a place for every child to learn to love and love to learn! This job posting is for an Accountant position. The ideal candidate will possess traits that align with our core values: Care, Creativity, Community, and Excellence and must be able to pass a background check. We are looking for someone who is driven, motivated, capable, and will be contribute to a positive work environment. This position requires education, knowledge, and competency in accounting principles. We will also be looking for someone who possesses accuracy in their accounting work and attentiveness to detail. To be successful in this role you will should have previous bookkeeping and accounting experience.

This Accountant position will report to the Owner. You will perform various accounting functions and will assist in accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance to our accounting standard operating procedures. Job duties will include but are not limited to:

-Perform accounting functions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

-Ensure all ledger entries are properly recorded

-Create and maintain an accurate and comprehensive calendar of recurring tasks

-Weekly collection of past due accounts

-Weekly and Montly Billing

-Daily processing of Credit Card, cash and check deposits

-Assist in generating any reports required throughout the month

-Adaptable to Child Care Environment

-Proficient in Excel

-Knowable in QuickBooks

-Able to learn new programs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
