Full Job Description

Overview
Join our culinary team as a part-time Kitchen/Chef Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences for our conference and retreat guests. This energetic position offers the opportunity to develop your culinary skills, support & occasionally lead food preparation, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Assist & occasionally lead in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen & dining areas.
Handle food safely by following proper hygiene practices and adhering to food safety regulations
Support Chef & occasionally lead with meal preparations for custom-catered meal service.
Operate basic kitchen equipment such as dish line, knives, mixers, and ovens with safety and precision.
Contribute to a positive team environment with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety protocols within the food industry required.
MUST have ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Dependability & punctuality is a must; flexibility to work various shifts including weekdays/evenings & weekends as needed.
