Private Family Chef

Location: Holladay, Utah
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced, personable, and highly dependable full-time private chef to prepare meals for a household in the Holladay area.

We are looking for someone who loves preparing excellent, healthy food and can manage the entire food process—from menu planning and grocery shopping through preparation and keeping the kitchens organized.

This is a long-term position with a family that values great food, healthy eating, flexibility, and a positive working environment.

Responsibilities

Plan weekly menus in coordination with the family
Prepare healthy, high-quality meals
Prepare breakfasts and lunches in advance as appropriate
Prepare family dinners
Grocery shopping and sourcing high-quality ingredients
Accommodate individual dietary preferences and restrictions
Prepare meals in advance when the families are traveling or schedules require it
Keep refrigerators and pantries organized and appropriately stocked
Maintain clean and organized kitchens and work area
Occasionally prepare meals for guests and family gatherings
Coordinate menus for holidays and special occasions

Schedule

This is primarily a weekday, full-time position.

The chef will generally prepare food during the day rather than being expected to provide simultaneous dinner service at two locations.

Some flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or family events will be appreciated, with advance notice whenever possible.

What We're Looking For

Professional cooking experience
Private chef experience
Strong knowledge of healthy cooking and nutrition
Comfortable preparing a wide variety of cuisines
Excellent organization and time-management skills
Ability to accommodate different dietary preferences within the same meal
Comfortable cooking for both small family meals and occasional larger gatherings
Dependable, discreet, trustworthy, and easy to work with
Comfortable working independently
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Strong references required

Culinary school training or experience in a high-quality restaurant, catering operation, or private household is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

$80,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Benefits and paid time off available.

Groceries and all food-related expenses are paid by the family.

Mileage reimbursement or a vehicle will be provided for work-related shopping and errands.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
