Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Marketing team, ensuring campaigns run smoothly across all channels and stores. This role manages Trello workflows, organizes assets and files, and communicates deadlines to keep projects on track. The person who will excel in this role has excellent attention to detail, and high-level proofreading/editing skills.

The Marketing Coordinator also acts as a key liaison between the Marketing team, store teams, and creative partners assuring everyone what they need to execute effectively. Additional responsibilities include managing the marketing communications calendar, building and scheduling email campaigns in Alpine IQ, and tracking print production and delivery to store locations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

Keep our Trello boards tight: update cards, assign tasks, close loops, and follow up.
Constantly audit public-facing assets (website, printed materials, newsletters) for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Track and manage our comms calendar across channels (email, SMS, IG, in-store signage).
Provide graphic designers with content, specs, and promo specifics, based on input and direction from other members of the Marketing team.
Compile and organize a database of external brands’ product images, logos, and descriptions for marketing assets.
Take finished design assets and assemble emails and texts in Alpine IQ, according to the direction of the Marketing Director.
Coordinate print orders and make sure assets get to stores on time.
Maintain file folders and spreadsheets for tracking deliverables, deadlines, andongoing projects.
Double-check promos and verify deal accuracy on marketing assets, including the website by adding discounted items to cart.
Confirm product availability using our inventory management systems.
Be the go-between for our store teams and marketing team—making sure feedback, ideas, and needs are clearly communicated.
Flag anything that’s missing or behind schedule, making sure deadlines don’t sneakup on us.
Keep an eye on print deadlines, shipping cutoffs, and campaign launches.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Qualifications:

Experience/Knowledge/Education:

Previous one or more years’ experience in marketing content creation, preferred, but not required
Previous experience in cannabis retail, in particular back-of-house roles, preferred, but not required.
Interest in, or experience with photography – not required.
Basic knowledge of cannabis products, and state and local cannabis compliance laws preferred

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:

Must be 21 or older o English speaking or bilingual
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and correct errors
Reliable time management and organizational skills
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
Experience with Canva - building simple layouts and signage.
Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments
Dependable & Reliable transportation
Camera equipment for photography

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
Ability to occasionally lift office products, supplies, and equipment up to 25 pounds
The role requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment
This is primarily a sedentary role, though some filing and supply management are required
Moves throughout the office to access supplies and office machinery
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Working Conditions/Environment: Work five (5) days in the corporate office. Occasional travel to retail store showrooms, and off-site events. Exposure to cleaning agents. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Additional Comments: Must be aware of the importance of safety and security and endeavor to follow safety and security protocols at all times. Must be friendly and courteous to guests and fellow team members at all times.

Our retail stores blend together art exhibits, cannabis cultivation, retail, and delivery. Our consumption lounge(s) offer a comfortable, upscale environment for consuming cannabis, dining, enjoying live entertainment and arts and wellness education. The Artist Tree currently has multiple retail locations in California and will be opening additional retail stores and consumption lounges in the near future.
