Full Job Description

AP/Payroll Associate
Honolulu, HI | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire (if applicable) OR Direct Hire
Bishop & Company is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to support a growing organization. This role will work closely with senior finance leadership and is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Process invoices, track payments, and resolve billing discrepancies
Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoicing and payment inquiries
Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial records
Maintain accuracy of the general ledger
Process employee payroll and review timesheets
Receive and post payments (check, credit card, EFT)
Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements
Ensure accurate and organized financial documentation
Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications

2–3+ years of experience in A/P, A/R, and/or payroll processing
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and/or other ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with payroll systems and processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organization and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

High School diploma or equivalent required
Some college coursework in Accounting or related field preferred

Work Schedule

Full-time, standard business hours
Occasional evening or weekend work as needed
