POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the execution of the restaurant’s menu items. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the culinary integrity of Zetton, Inc. standards. In synchronization with the Sous Chef and kitchen and service teams, the Line Cook plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless guest experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Read food orders or receive verbal instructions on food required by guests, and prepare and cook food accordingly.
Plate prepared foods based on the chef’s guidance.
Work with front-of-house staff to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that orders are completed according to request and to ensure efficient service.
Assist in managing inventory and ensuring adequate stock levels.
Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures meet food safety standards and regulations.
Handle food products safely, including proper storage and labeling.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Perform other shift duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in the restaurant setting is preferred.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and methods.
Excellent knife skills and ability to follow recipes efficiently.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams.
A proactive approach to following guest requests and dietary restrictions accurately.
Ability to stand and move quickly for long periods in a high-temperature kitchen environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
