About this position: Mechanical Systems Operator in Wahiawa, HI

Wage/Salary Range: $60.00 per hr.

This position is a graveyard position. 4pm – 4am.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans and performs a variety of complex technical, functional and operational tests for use in production process system.
- Reviews specifications, drawings, manuals or related data to become familiar with functional characteristics and requirements of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic or environmental systems required in process systems.
- Analyzes data and recommends modifications to equipment, techniques or procedures to improve reliability and function.
- Conducts major performance tests of equipment systems, components and controls.
- Directs the set up of necessary equipment to calibrate and troubleshoot major system malfunctions and determines and performs appropriate corrective action.
- Refers problems requiring further investigation and possible redesign to engineers or supervisors.
- Coordinates the collection and maintenance of test data and prepares reports as required, specifying the nature and results of tests conducted. Investigates a variety of complex system problems and coordinates its solution.
- Determines the compatibility of instruments tested relative to specifications to assure validity of acceptance or rejection.
- Assigns and directs work of lower graded employees in accordance with complexity involved.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
- Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
- Requires 5 years identical or related experience.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must posses TS/SCI clearance
- Requires a broad knowledge of electrical/electronic, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics fundamental principles as applied to testing and checking our industrial control systems.
- Involves usage of complicated schematics, drawings, sketches, build and test procedures and specifications and the usage of a variety of special test equipment and read out instrumentation.
- Must be familiar with functional characteristics and requirements of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and environmental systems, components, and controls.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate certifications where such certifications are a requirement of the job.
- For jobs requiring operation of motor vehicles, must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
- Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.

- This position is the graveyard shift: 4pm – 4am.
- Work is performed in a combination of office, residential/commercial, indoor, and outdoor environments
- Regular movement throughout the property is required, including common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior spaces
- May encounter variable environmental conditions, such as:
- Weather changes (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Noise levels from equipment or building systems
- Occasional exposure to dust, odors, cleaning agents, and building materials may occur
- Requires interaction with tenants, employees, vendors, and contractors in both routine and time-sensitive situations
- Work may involve responding to urgent or emergency situations outside of standard business hours
- Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones) as well as occasional use of maintenance tools or equipment
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.
Additional Qualifying Factors
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
