The Position:

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst is responsible to provide diagnostic assessments and behavioral support services or programs utilizing applied behavior analysis for a mixed caseload including adults and/or children with disabilities and their families or support staff. The BCBA will also collaborate and provide support and supervision to Behavior Technicians and Associate Behavior Analysts/Interns as it relates to the implementation and documentation associated with behavior support plans. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst should be familiar with other services and resources in the community and work closely with them to provide information and support when required.

Candidate’s Major Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
Assess clients using ABLLS, VB-MAPP, PEAK, Vineland and QABF, MAS, FAST and other assessment tools.
Create comprehensive Individual Behavior Plans for clients as needed.
Provide 1:1 direct therapy in applied behavior analysis, using a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements as needed. Provide curated, behavioral services to a diverse client population.
Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to all areas of programming including the training and supervision of direct support professionals such as registered behavior technicians and associate/assistant behavior analysts.
Maintain caseload of clients. Develop and implement skills acquisition, social skills programs, positive behavior plans, and strategies. Create recommendations for comprehensive services.
Provide ongoing support and training to direct support professionals and other individuals in support roles for families. Provide ongoing training and supervision of paraprofessional staff in implementation of ABA principles and methodology and behavior reduction strategies.
Collaborate with other treatment team members and members of clients' environment regarding clients' progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record review, and informal discussions as appropriate.
Meet with families, clinic staff, other interested parties to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.
Effectively assist with parent or caregiver training according to treatment plan and provide communication regarding progress.
Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status.

Education and Experience:

Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis required from an accredited institution. Individuals who have recently competed their Master's Degree and are waiting to take the BACB exam will be considered on an individual basis.
State license as a BCBA required from the state of Texas required. Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commiserate with treatment provided.
Current liability insurance required.
BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross Assoc preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the clinical healthcare field preferred providing diagnostic assessment experience and therapy services to a full range of individuals from pediatrics through adulthood, addressing a wide variety of diagnosis.
