Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (Master’s degree is preferred)
Two year’s professional experience

Job Description BSP's for Residential and Community Clients:

STAFF RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Training staff
Conduct initial training with new trainees.
Conduct ongoing training (hands-on, Habilitation, Communication, Behavior Management, 1:1 training w/management).
Educate staff by providing in-service sessions on such issues as: current applicable publications, videos, techniques, medications, Medicaid, etc..
Conduct monthly staff meetings.

CLIENT RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the general welfare and safety of clients at all times.
Attend all scheduled IPP's
IPPs/IEP-ensure meetings are scheduled in a timely manner and that the IDT objectives are implemented.
Community Clients: Personal visits/telephone contact to/with client's homes in order to assess the needs of client/family and status of services. Visits to the home and contacts by telephone will be scheduled according to the needs of the client and his/her family.
Maintain a link with other professionals involved with cilents to monitor needs and goals.
Monitor, report, and investigate suspected or reported abuse and/or neglect

Behavior Support:

Assess, observe, and document needs.
Take information before the Behavior Management Committee.
Write Behavior Programs with the Committee’s input.
Implement, train, and reassess data.

Medical Needs for Residential Clients:

Ensure health and medications are maintained.
Assist the nursing staff in keeping required medical evaluations updated and current.
Ensure all clients attend medical appointments with either a Manager or well-trained staff also in attendance.
Ensure proper administration and documentation of medications.
Work with the nursing staff to train medical techniques and ensure OSHA regulations are implemented properly.
Ensure all medical supplies are maintained.
Monitor nutritional needs and weights.
Be an advocate for the needs of the clients. Search out all necessary means to achieve appropriate services and objectives.
Maintain a positive relationship between the residents and their families, guardians, community support network and ASC (i.e. Case Management; Behavior Management).
Maintain communication with the resident’s family.

Pre-Vocational Program Supervisor

Develop programs of instruction /training
Evaluate progress of programs
Train Pre-Voc staff
Ensure employment related goals are in the IPP and general hab activiites are designed to support

employment goals.

ADMINISTRATIVE RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Documentation

Complete BSP notes in a timely fashion.
Ensure Program Documentation Forms, Habilitation Plans, Task Analysis, Behavior Management Plans and complete monthly Progress Reports
Maintain all current medical records, Behavior Programs, Habilitation Plans, etc. at both the residence and Ensure that Incident Reports are documented properly and submitted within 24 hours of the incident.
Maintain all staff documentation
On call duty

BSP's for ABA Clients

ABA BSP'S MUST ALSO MAINTAIN THE RBT CREDENTIAL

Provide for overall safety and health of the clients.
Follow all ASC personnel policies.
Work all assigned shifts.
Attend mandatory meetings.
Implement the daily client schedule that is based upon the individual client Treatment Plan or IPPs
Implement behavior support programs that are individualized for each client.
Provide transportation for clients as needed.
Complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Implement Crisis Intervention Procedures as needed.
Complete all assigned duties.
Guide, teach and assist clients in skill development and community involvement.
Use augmentative communication device or other appropriate means of communication.
Participate in community activities with clients and teach appropriate social interaction.
Represent ASC appropriately while in the community during work hours.
Be role models of acceptable behaviors for all clients.
Reasonably react to crises and incidents.
Provide CPR and First Aid, when needed.
Follow through with all job requirements and instructions given by a supervisor.
Complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Successful completion of probationary period or pre-approved by COO based on background and experience
Self Monitor and maintain all credentialing requirements as dictated by the BACB.

Complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Training as assigned. This includes:

Complete 40 hours of Approved RBT Training
Pass the BACB certification exam
Participate in supervision provided by a BCBA
Maintain certification (on-going)
