Full Job Description

The DDA Program Supervisor is a position whose primary job function is managing multiple program services and management personnel. The chief responsibility is to assure the implementation of a participant’s program plan and regulatory compliance. The position requires an individual to oversee multiple participant caseloads and supervise assigned management personnel. It requires response to emergency and other care needs on a day to day and on-call basis. The DDA Program Supervisor reports to the Administrator and may act in the absence of the Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications

· Meet the qualification of clinical supervisor in regulations.

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Human Services Field

· Minimum of 1-year Supervised Experience Working with Population and Children with disabilities.

· Must be at least 21 years or older at time of employment

· Current Universal Precautions Training and First Aid/CPR (or receive training within 90 days of employment)

· Free of communicable diseases

· Able to lift fifty (50) pounds unaided.

· Criminal History Background Check: Cleared to work with developmentally disabled

· Able to read/write in English well enough to read and document in resident record

· Must possess computer skills to include: word processing, spreadsheets, and database experience

· Must possess valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance

· Clean driving record (No more than 3 traffic violations in a 3 year period, excluding parking tickets)

· Must obtain and keep current Habilitation Intervention Competency Coursework & Certification, Adult DS Certification (if applicable) & Assistance with Medication Training.

· Any other certifications on training mandated by local, state, federal requirements.

Duties

1. Develop, implement, supervise, train and QA HCBS settings standards, qualities, and safeguards to comply with regulations.

2. Provide general on-going supervision of each of the staff including personnel files, documentation, and support.

3. Plan, coordinate, and participate in the Quality Assurance of service performed by each of the program groups.

4. Conduct regular reviews to assure quality and completeness (this includes observation, files, review of paperwork prior to implementation, etc.

5. Review data and documentation

6. Recommend adjustments to services and formally complete them.

7. Write objectives and assessments

8. Provide feedback to the Administrator on an on-going basis of any information / issues which may affect the quality of the program offered by AMBITIONS OF IDAHO.

9. Monitor services to assure they meet regulatory requirements as per state of Idaho code.

10. Motivate employees through attitude, behavior, and modeling of AMBITIONS OF IDAHO Philosophies.

11. Monitor and contain costs

12. Review billing.

13. Review operations cost when needed.

14. Conduct weekly supervision

15. Complete monthly observations of all staff

16. Act as a contact for state agencies, legislature groups, professional associations, etc., to represent AMBITIONS OF IDAHO in their deliberations.

17. Be able to perform and supervise operations in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the governing body in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

18. Responsible for knowing and enforcing IDAPA policy and Ambitions policies and ensuring that each policy is met regarding client services and staff management.

19. Act as a liaison to the Administration for the medical, nursing, and other professional staff and all Agency departments.

20. Protect participants from abuse, neglect and financial exploitation, reports and investigates incidences of abuse, neglect and financial exploitation to APS, CPS, and/or Idaho Health & Welfare.

21. Ensure that all required professional services needed for participant support services are provided.

22. Develop empathic relationships with participants and families while establishing professional boundaries.

23. Arbitrate complaints and disputes concerning participants, families or personnel.

24. Supervise assigned support staff and managers.

25. Supervise the recruitment, employment, performance, evaluation, promotion and discharge of assigned support staff and managers.

26. Participate in the scheduling, planning and procuring of materials and information for staff meetings and in-service education programs.

27. Ensure the program has well trained and adequate staffing to meet needs of the participants.

28. Supervise the confidentiality and safe storage of current and closed participant records, personnel records and financial/billing records within regulatory requirements.

29. Prepare all reports required by management.

30. Prepare and participate in the Health & Welfare audit.

31. Be able to develop relationships with community agencies providing services to benefit the Agency.

32. Be able to serve as an active member of all committees, where applicable.

33. Maintain a professional demeanor.

34. Maintain appropriate professional and ethical conduct.

35. Be able to function at a high level in the face of long hours and a high stress environment.

39. Function in the face of uncertainties inherent to the problems of participants.

42. Observe all facility infection control policies and procedures.

43. Possess spelling, grammar and writing style that is appropriate and effective in documents and effective, clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

44. Assume responsibility for ensuring that equipment is in operating order.

45. Ensure that all necessary supplies are purchased and available.

46. Travel for business related activities or training. May include overnight stays.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
