Full Job Description

Overview
Salary DOE. We are a rapidly growing publicly-traded company seeking a experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and oversee all financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. This role requires a strong background in various accounting disciplines including GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance, with a focus on ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of financial management software, Netsuite experience is a plus, along with excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization committed to excellence in financial stewardship and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and accounts receivable/payable processes.
Manage cash flow, cash management activities, and forecasting to optimize liquidity.
Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, governmental reporting requirements, and other regulatory standards.
Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis for internal management and external stakeholders.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure proper classification of expenses across various accounts.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure adherence to all regulatory reporting deadlines.
Utilize accounting software and other financial management tools to streamline operations.
Conduct technical accounting research related to complex transactions including corporate accounting, nonprofit accounting, or governmental accounting as needed.
Support budgeting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis for strategic planning initiatives.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
Proven expertise in public accounting or corporate accounting environments; experience with nonprofit or governmental accounting is a plus.
Strong proficiency in financial software platforms; Netsuite experience is a plus; advanced Excel skills are essential.
Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, cash management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings clearly. This position is integral to maintaining the organization’s financial integrity while supporting strategic growth initiatives through expert financial management.
