Full Job Description

JOIN THE BMW OF IDAHO FALLS LEADERSHIP TEAM

BMW of Idaho Falls is seeking an experienced, driven, and professional Automotive Sales Manager to lead our new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations.

We are a family-owned dealership that values integrity, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive leader who knows how to develop a sales team, manage inventory, maximize profitability, and deliver a premium customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive sales management, strong knowledge of franchise dealership operations, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead, coach, motivate, and hold the sales team accountable for individual and dealership performance goals
Manage the daily operations of the new and pre-owned sales departments
Assist sales professionals with deal structuring, negotiations, closing, and customer concerns
Recruit, train, develop, and retain high-performing sales professionals
Establish and monitor sales goals, performance expectations, and follow-up activity
Manage new and used vehicle inventory, including aging, pricing, merchandising, and inventory turn
Help oversee vehicle appraisals, trade-in values, and pre-owned vehicle acquisition
Maintain a strong understanding of the local automotive market and competitive landscape
Ensure dealership processes, manufacturer standards, and compliance requirements are followed
Work closely with ownership and other department leaders to improve profitability and the overall customer experience
Promote a positive, professional, team-oriented dealership culture

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years of automotive sales experience
Previous automotive sales management experience required
Franchise dealership experience strongly preferred
Proven leadership and team-development abilities
Experience managing both new and pre-owned vehicle inventory
Strong knowledge of automotive retail operations, deal structure, inventory management, and sales performance metrics
Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to motivate a team while maintaining accountability and high performance standards
Professional appearance and a customer-focused attitude
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
