General Summary:
The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for welding/Fabricator is responsible for welding, grinding, and bending materials to specified shapes and quality standards. This role requires visual and technical inspection of work to ensure all welded components meet strict engineering and quality requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Execute tasks and projects within original estimated production hours.
· Interpret blueprint drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications accurately.
· Apply advanced knowledge of MIG (GMAW & FCAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding processes across various metals.
· Prepare, clean, and fit materials properly prior to initiating the welding process.
· Safely operate specialized machinery, material handling equipment (overhead cranes), and welding apparatus.
· Actively support and adhere to the company’s established Quality Management System.
· Read, understand, and follow complex assembly drawings and process work instructions.
· Promote shop safety, adhering strictly to safe operating guidelines and Lockout/Tagout procedures for all presses.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Competent in the setup, calibration, and operation of diverse welding equipment.
· Thorough understanding of the metal fabrication process from raw material to finished product.
· Proven ability to interpret industrial blueprints and standard welding symbols.
· Ability to manage job tasks effectively to meet strict production schedules.
· In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, joint configurations, and positions.
· Ability to pass required welding certifications tests dictated by ATC and/or the customer.
· Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent (welding certifications preferred)
· Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in MIG and/or TIG welding environments.
· Proficient in MIG (GMAW & FCAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding methodologies.
· Strong troubleshooting skills regarding weld defects and equipment issues.
· Proficient blueprint reading and welding symbol interpretation.
· Basic understanding of metallurgy and material properties.
· Basic operational knowledge of hand plasma cutters.
· Familiarity with precision hand-measuring tools, including tape measures, and weld gauges.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, however, overtime will be required based on workload demands, including weekdays, and weekends. The position is set in a manufacturing floor environment requiring standing for long periods of time, lifting to 50lbs, and wearing PPE.

Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
