Full Job Description

About the Role

Are you outgoing, detail-oriented, and thriving in a fast-paced environment? Our busy Collegetown Property Management Office is seeking an enthusiastic, accurate, and highly reliable Leasing Office Assistant to join our full-time team.

In this role, you will be a primary point of contact for our large portfolio of student apartments, providing exceptional customer service to over 500 student residents, parents, and prospective tenants. You will handle everything from leasing support and front-desk administration to hands-on seasonal operations.

Note: This is not a temporary or seasonal position. We are looking for a long-term team member who can commit for at least one year.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Resident Services

Welcome visitors, answer general inquiries, and deliver top-tier customer service to student residents and prospective renters.
Answer multiline phones, respond to email inquiries, and route calls promptly and professionally.
Work comfortably and effectively with our core clientele of Cornell University students and families.

Leasing & Portfolio Management

Learn our extensive apartment portfolio quickly to present available units clearly to prospective tenants.
Conduct apartment showings and assist prospective renters through the leasing process to help successfully rent available units.
Earn potential commissions on successful property rentals!

Administrative & Package Operations

Perform accurate data entry, scanning, and digital document management using our property management software.
Receive, track, sort, and distribute daily packages and deliveries to residents (requires lifting and moving packages).

Seasonal & Project Support

Assist with key rental-cycle milestones, including key distribution during move-in/move-out seasons, staging apartments for video tours, and other operational projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service/office administration preferred.
Education: Associate degree or higher preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong typing/data-entry accuracy required.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with diverse groups.
Adaptability: High attention to detail with the proven ability to multitask in a fast-moving office environment.
Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work weekend hours during peak leasing seasons (primarily summer and fall).
