The MO HealthNet Division has an opening for a Research/Data Analyst within the Rate Setting Unit located in Cole County.

Job Posting Number: 4594 8260013

Semi-monthly salary: The current rate for this position is $2,567.14. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).

Job Location: This position is located at the Howerton State Office Building; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO. All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do

Supports the operation of the Managed Care Rate Setting Unit in all aspects of the Managed Care 1915b waiver, the 1115 Waivers (i.e. Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and Show-Me Healthy Babies (SMHB)), the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), and Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT).
Reconciles the monthly capitation and delivery payments.
Manages and maintains large databases and spreadsheets.
Gathers, analyzes, interprets, and extracts claims, expenditures, and member month data into reports for budget projections and monthly financial claiming.
Reviews and reports financial data on a quarterly and annual basis for the Managed Care, NEMT, and PACE providers.
Researches and analyzes claims information.
Assists supervisor with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications - All you need for success Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Preferred Qualifications:

The person in this position should have a strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, the ability to work independently, to be a team player, and have great time management skills. Experience with eMMIS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access is a bonus.

Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
