Full Job Description

Purpose:

The Community Relations and Fundraising Coordinator supports the organization's mission by enhancing community awareness, strengthening relationships, and assisting with fundraising initiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating marketing and communication efforts, both internal and external, for residents, families, the public, and staff. This position is responsible for managing and implementing the fundraising events on campus, including but not limited to: Annual Golf Tournament, Christmas in the Village, Sock Hop, and IMPACT Awards Gala.

Essential Job Duties:

Works closely with Director of IL/Community Relations to create content and manage marketing channels such as newsletters, social media, website updates, email campaigns and printed marketing materials.
The key employee for planning, organizing and implementing fundraising events. Working in close collaboration with the Development Director to develop and grow fundraising and community events. (Annual Golf Tournament, IMPACT Awards Gala, Sock Hop and Christmas in the Village.)

Attend community events to represent Laurel View Village and develop a professional network of various community connections. Also coordinate some special LVV community events like summer food trucks.

Assist with public relations efforts such as press releases, media advisories, campus communication pieces, resident newsletters, flyers and photographs. Collaborates with staff to gather stories, photos and testimonials that highlight the LVV community.

Assist with communication to residents, families, staff members and the general public. Communicating necessary details to help with smooth operations across campus and providing the residents the information they need to thrive.

Assist with donor stewardship by helping with marketing materials and building donor relationships.

As part of the Independent Living team, responsible for providing coverage at the front desk as scheduled. While at the front desk, performs general administrative functions, including answering phone calls in a timely manner, greeting and welcoming visitors, booking guest rooms, and placing work orders in Worxhub.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
Keeps privileged information about residents confidential according to HIPAA guidelines.
Upholds Laurel View Village’s Code of Conduct and follows Corporate Compliance guidelines, per the LVV Employee Handbook.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Prior work experience in an office setting is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent educational requirements are necessary.
Must have excellent computer experience.
Good grammar, attention to detail, and editing/design skills.
Other Requirements:
Must have the ability to function effectively independently and as a team member of Laurel View Village.
Must be able to effectively manage time and prioritize work assignments and projects to organizational objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills.

Team player
Preferred Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Business or related field preferred.
One to three years of experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
Experience with social media platforms, email marketing and website content management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with design software such as Canva, InDesign or Adobe is preferred.
Experience with donor management software or CRM software a plus.
Experience with industry related software such as: One Call Now, Point Click Care and WorxHub a plus.
Working Conditions:
Sits, stands, and walks intermittently during the day.
Will be a part of the Saturday rotation for the front desk and help cover for PTO or sick days.
