Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our ongoing growth by maintaining precise financial data, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports that help drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate general ledger accounting using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, JobPower or similar systems
Process payroll and ensure timely payroll processing in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and vendor payments
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to ensure data integrity
Record journal entries, debits & credits, and perform account analysis to support financial accuracy
Reconcile accounts receivable and payable, ensuring all transactions are properly documented
Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant documentation in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar software
Familiarity with corporate accounting practices and non-profit accounting is a plus
Strong understanding of GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger reconciliation
Experience with payroll processing and governmental accounting preferred
Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), 10-key typing skills, and financial report writing skills
Ability to perform account reconciliation accurately and efficiently using bank statements and financial software
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
