Full Job Description

Pettit Staffing is seeking an organized Receptionist to join our clients medical practice. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative functions within a healthcare setting.

This is a possible temporary to hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess some medical office experience, excellent communication skills, and some understanding of medical office duties. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through efficient administrative support and meticulous documentation review.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and front desk operations with professionalism and courtesy
Assist patient intake processes, including data entry and verification of insurance information
help and Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks
Assist with medical billing and collections.
Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness to support billing and care plans
Assist with the ProcessIng health insurance claims for Medicare and private insurers while adhering to health information management policies

Requirements:

Some experience working in a medical office environment or healthcare setting is essential
a plus is some Knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance claim processing
Some familiarity with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping
