Are you a BCBA interested in using your training with a population beyond the traditional autism/ABA setting?
River Shores Counseling is a growing multidisciplinary private practice specializing in the treatment of individuals who have experienced motor vehicle collisions, falls, and other personal injuries. We work with children, adolescents, and adults throughout Florida via telehealth.
We are seeking a bilingual Spanish/English Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our behavioral therapy team on a flexible, part-time basis.
This is a unique opportunity for a BCBA who is interested in applying the principles of behavior analysis to a very different and diverse population. Our behavioral clients may be experiencing changes in daily functioning, independence, routines, sleep, school performance, social functioning, emotional regulation, avoidance behaviors, parenting challenges, and other behavioral difficulties following an injury or traumatic event.
Rather than working primarily with an autism population or providing traditional high-hour ABA programming, you will have the opportunity to apply your behavioral expertise to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of functional and behavioral needs.

What You'll Do
- Work with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing behavioral or functional difficulties following an injury or traumatic event.
- Identify behavioral and functional changes affecting clients' daily lives.
- Develop individualized behavioral treatment plans and recommendations.
- Provide behavioral interventions, skills training, parent/caregiver coaching, and education as clinically appropriate.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment recommendations when appropriate.
- Complete clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with other members of the client's treatment team when appropriate.
- Participate in training and consultation as you learn the unique clinical and documentation needs of our practice.

- Detail-oriented. Because our clients are involved in personal-injury cases, clinical records may be subpoenaed or become part of legal proceedings. Accuracy and careful documentation are extremely important.
- Proactive and self-directed. We value clinicians who notice what needs to be done, ask questions, follow through, and take initiative rather than waiting to be reminded.
- Receptive to training and feedback. Personal-injury work will probably be new to you, and that's okay. We want someone who is eager to learn, comfortable asking for help, and able to receive constructive feedback professionally.
- Curious and adaptable. Our population is different from a traditional ABA caseload. We want someone who finds that difference interesting and enjoys learning new ways to apply their behavioral expertise.
- Warm and professional with clients and families. Many of our clients are navigating difficult circumstances and benefit from a clinician who is both clinically skilled and compassionate.
Required Qualifications
- Current BCBA certification in good standing.
- Master's degree or higher.
- Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Experience working directly with clients and families.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and reliably in a remote environment.
- Willingness to learn the clinical and documentation requirements associated with a personal-injury practice.
- Individual professional liability insurance.
- Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet connection.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of professional experience as a BCBA.
- Experience working with more than one age group.
- Experience providing parent or caregiver coaching.
- Experience collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Prior personal-injury experience is not required. Training and support are provided.
Schedule
This is a part-time employee position with a flexible schedule. Hours will begin on a limited basis and can increase as caseload develops. This position is ideal for a BCBA looking to supplement an existing position or gradually expand into private-practice work.
