This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early childhood professional who loves children, supports teachers, and wants to grow into a leadership role in a high-quality school environment.

Compensation

$18.50 – $21.00 per hour (based on qualifications)

Compensation increases based on education:

CDA Credential – starting at $18.50/hr
Director Credential – starting at $20.00/hr
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field – up to $21.00/hr

Additional compensation opportunities include:

What You Will Do

As an Assistant Director, you will support the Director in managing the daily operations of the school while helping maintain a nurturing, safe, and high-quality environment for children, families, and staff.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting the daily operation of the school
Supervising teachers and assisting with staff development
Ensuring compliance with Florida DCF licensing regulations
Supporting enrollment and conducting family tours
Assisting with staff hiring and training
Maintaining student and staff records
Supporting curriculum implementation and classroom quality
Assisting with financial operations and school organization
Acting as Director when the Director is absent

Our Assistant Directors lead by example and help create the positive culture that defines My First Academy.

Qualifications

CDA required
Director Credential preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or related field preferred
Previous childcare teaching or management experience
CPR / First Aid Certification
DCF required training courses
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
Bilingual - Spanish/English
