What You'll Do
- Work hands-on with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments
- Train dogs in obedience, leash skills, manners, and behavior modification
- Work with dogs that may be fearful, reactive, excitable, or challenging to handle
- Follow K9 Logic's training system and protocols
- Safely handle, walk, feed, clean, and care for dogs
- Communicate with dog owners and explain training techniques clearly
- Demonstrate exercises and provide owners with guidance
- Monitor dog behavior and communicate progress with the training team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment
- Work as part of a professional team
- Continue developing your knowledge and skills as a professional dog trainer
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about dogs and genuinely enjoys working with them
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional and confident
- A strong communicator
- Comfortable working with people as well as dogs
- Able to take direction and follow an established training system
- Willing to learn and accept coaching
- Physically capable of safely handling large and strong dogs
- Comfortable working with dogs of different temperaments and behavior levels
- Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Available to work weekends
Professional dog training experience is preferred, but not required.
We are willing to train the right person who demonstrates the right attitude, work ethic, and ability to safely handle dogs.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Professional dog training
- Dog daycare or boarding
- Dog walking
- Animal shelters or rescues
- Veterinary or animal-care environments
- Puppy training
- Obedience training
- Behavior modification
- Classical and operant conditioning
- Working with reactive or difficult dogs
- Customer service or client communication

Compensation
$18.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
