Work Schedule: Part Time, 20 Hours Per Week (2x10 Hour Shifts)

Shift: Days

Pay: $42.01 - $58.82 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:

Performs echocardiogram procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and independent of supervision.

Duties/Responsibilities

Maintains professional but personal rapport with research participants, study teams, physicians and CTRC staff
Is able to thoroughly explain the procedure
Reviews prior studies and matches machine settings, imaging windows and imaging planes to ensure consistent data is acquired in serial studies
Reviews research protocols and echo manuals to determine imaging protocols, and can follow detailed requirements for image acquisition
Is able to assimilate constructive feedback and learn new protocols
Demonstrates attention to detail in imaging acquisition and study documentation
Prioritizes work and manages complex workflow
Assists with data archival and image uploads as appropriate
Maintains a clean and safe working environment
Creates structured echo reports in Epic
Relays critical findings to the research team and/or cardiologist as appropriate
Works closely with lead sonographer to ensure consistent, high-quality studies are performed
Completes all training required by UCHealth, CU Denver, and individual research projects, including submitting test echoes to central sites

Qualifications

Certified Adult Cardiac Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialling International.
Extensive training in cardiac ultrasound
3 or more years of experience required

Requirements:

Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program OR Associate’s degree in allied health OR a Bachelor’s degree in any area. Required Licensure/Certification: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
